MP3 Cutter Tool (the "Tool") is operated by the Upliftorch team. This policy distinguishes media-file content from website connection data, cookies, advertising, and contact information so that "no media upload" is not mistaken for a website that makes no network requests at all.
2. How Your Files Are Handled
This is our most important privacy commitment: the audio or video content you choose is not uploaded to our servers.
The Tool uses the Web Audio API, Canvas, JavaScript encoders, and WebAssembly to decode media, draw waveforms, cut and merge segments, apply fades, extract video audio, and export results on your device. The browser creates and downloads the result directly.
Media content is primarily held in the current tab's memory. Reloading or closing the tab does not leave a server copy with us. Source and exported files you save remain on your own device.
3. Cookie Policy
The site uses a cookie-consent mechanism and may load Google AdSense. Depending on your consent choice, browser settings, region, and Google's service configuration, Google may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and limit advertising.
You can manage or clear cookies through the site's consent choices and your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies does not change local media processing, although it may affect advertising or some site features.
4. localStorage Usage
The Tool may use the browser's localStorage feature to remember your preferences, such as:
- Interface language preference
- Export format preference (MP3, WAV, or M4R)
- Other tool usage preferences
This data is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. No personally identifiable information or audio file content is ever stored in localStorage.
5. Personal Data Collection
The Tool does not ask for account information and does not send media content to our servers to build a user profile. Website operation and third-party services may still process ordinary connection data. Specifically:
- No account registration or login is required
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or any contact information
- Hosting, CDN, Cloudflare, or advertising services may process IP address, browser, device, and request time in standard access records
- Google AdSense may process advertising and measurement data under its policies and your consent settings
- The Tool does not fingerprint your audio content or use media to identify you
The only exception is if you voluntarily contact us through the Contact page via email. In that case, we receive your email address and message content, which are used solely to respond to your inquiry and for no other purpose.
6. Third-Party Services
Current third-party and infrastructure services may include:
- Google AdSense for displaying and measuring advertising, potentially using cookies or similar technologies according to consent settings
- jsDelivr for delivering the lamejs MP3 encoder file
- Google Cloud Storage and Cloudflare for static files, caching, and delivery
These services may receive ordinary web-request information, but the Tool does not provide them with the audio, video, or exported media you select for editing. Their processing remains subject to their own policies.
7. Children's Privacy
The Tool is not specifically directed to children. A parent or guardian should help minors manage cookie, advertising, and browser privacy settings.
8. Data Security
Not storing media content on our servers reduces the risk of a server breach exposing those media files. Website connection, advertising, and contact data remain subject to the security measures of the relevant services. You should also protect your device and downloaded files.
